Although the original WordPress site had aged well, Josef’s practice and wider brand had continued to evolve. His printed materials, photography, and visual language had become more refined, and his digital presence needed to catch up. The challenge was to redevelop the site without losing the clarity and longevity that had made the original so successful.

This project was less about reinvention and more about renewal. After ten years of working together, Josef trusted Screensilk to rethink his online presence in a way that respected the past while preparing for the future.
Starting Point
We began by reviewing the existing site and the materials that had developed around it. Catalogues, invitations, photography, and exhibition graphics all informed the direction of the new design. The aim was to bring coherence across every touchpoint, allowing the website to sit naturally alongside Josef’s other communications.
Our Approach
Screensilk designed and built a bespoke showcase website that draws directly from Josef’s established visual language. Subtle animation and motion were introduced to add depth and pacing, while keeping the overall experience calm and considered.
The new site has been structured with future growth in mind. A fully integrated online shop has been planned and built into the architecture of the site, ready for launch in 2026, ensuring the platform can evolve alongside Josef’s practice without the need for another rebuild.
