Giving jewellery the space it deserves

Tina’s previous website was functional, but limited. The templates constrained how her work could be shown, and the overall experience felt flat in comparison to the physical presence of the jewellery itself. As her practice evolved, it became clear that the site was no longer doing the work justice.

Our work began by looking closely at Tina’s practice. How the jewellery is made, how it is worn, and how it should be encountered. We reviewed her existing content and discussed what felt right and what no longer did. The aim was not to replicate the old site, but to rethink how the work could live online.

Screensilk designed and built a bespoke Shopify store that treated the jewellery as the focus at every moment. Layout, typography, and animation were considered together, creating a sense of rhythm and flow that mirrors the experience of handling the work in person. Subtle animation was introduced to bring depth and tactility, while performance and optimisation were carefully handled to ensure the site remained fast, accessible, and easy to use. The shop was structured to feel intuitive rather than commercial, allowing the work to lead.

Over time, the site took shape as a coherent digital environment rather than a collection of pages. Each detail was refined to support clarity and confidence, from image scaling to transitions and mobile behaviour. The result is a website that feels deliberate and composed, inviting visitors to spend time with the work rather than rush through it.

The finished site presents Tina’s jewellery with the space and attention it deserves. It supports both browsing and buying, without compromising on tone or integrity. Since launch, the site has become a natural extension of her practice, aligning her online presence with the quality and intent of the work itself.
